2020.02.21 03:33 ItsYaGirlIsabelMy pictriev femininity score has improved.
Pictriev, for those of you who don't know, is a website where you upload a face, and they tell you how masculine/feminine it is. http://www.pictriev.com/ Before we start, I know it's easy to trick pictriev. You smile, add lipstick, and put on a wig, and it will give you a 99-1 femininity score even if you have beard shadow, a square jaw, and a heavy brow ridge. What I've been doing is to take a picture of myself every day, and send it to pictriev. Since they are so easy to trick, I put on a straight face and no makeup. The idea is that with the most masculine expression that if i'm getting a good score, then i'm legitimately improving. When I started, my femininity percentage was consistently 1%. Now, it's hovering in the low-mid 20s on a consistent basis. So there's still a way to go, but at least there are changes. And that's without threading my caterpillar eyebrows or getting facial feminization surgery. They also have a similarity meter http://www.pictriev.com/fc.php
2019.04.30 13:31 StarByFacewebsite service - not approved because Inventory value: no content, why?
Good day. The site https://starbyface.com is not approved because it has found violations of the rules: Inventory value: no content I would not like to add extra content to the main page. The main feature and content of the site is face recognition. Monetization was planned only through advertising, it was not going to introduce any paid services. How can I get approval for the site without interfering with its main idea? Found several similar resources with adsense ads, like an example: https://www.twinlets.com/http://www.pictriev.com/ or other services sites, such as: https://imagecompressor.com/https://pdfcompressor.com/ I caught a wave of reposts in social networks and for the last week I receive traffic in ~ 40,000 daily visits. And I can't monetize it with the help of Adsense, sad, very sad. Why does the site cant get approval?
2019.03.09 15:06 -TheGreasyPole-Off-Topic Thread: What does PPD look like ? (Free attractiveness boost edition) March 09 2019
Hi Everyone, One of the things that happen round here that I see a lot of people jumping to conclusions about other people’s motives for “writing that”. It often seems to me that people have a picture in their mind of who “the other person is” and ascribes motivation their words that are self-serving for “that” kind of person. Among the guys this is often “a fat blue haired feminist with a face like a magnet dragged through a scrapyard”. Among the gals this is often “a fat spotty teenaged neckbeard with moderate autism”. From what I can see, those mental images cause a lot of confusion, misattribution of motive, and cross-talk (where neither side understands the other) on PPD. For example. I am fairly sure many of your mental images of me are effectively this or perhaps something like this. Edit: Apparently it's this. This causes you to jump to the conclusion that I say what I say because it’s something a person like the above person “would want to believe” in order “to reassure himself that he’s right and the world is wrong and he’s going to get the ladies someday, just as soon as they all hit the wall and my status goes up because ”. Now, there is not much on here we can do to correct this, given almost all of us do not wish to dox ourselves openly. And I was thinking of ways we could help overcome this barrier (as we did in the purge week “anonymous pic swap threads” to some level). Here what I came up with. I found two sites at which you can upload a picture, and it gives you a “celebrity that looks like you”. This may serve to give people a “better idea of who you are” than their current mental image, without a need to expose a real photo of you. Here are the sites... https://www.celebslike.me http://www.pictriev.com I’ll comment my results below, So.... what I’d like to ask is....
Please go to these sites, pop a good selfie in, and post photos of your matches here.
Let us know (similar to how I will Below) what the match % is and how you feel about whether the photos actually reflect “your look”
Obviously, as these are models/actors this is going to give a false impression of how great you look within that face shape, try and let us know how much to adjust this down (in your biased estimation) to get somewhere around how you look
Please comment on the pics other people post, and tell us how reflective this all is of the “mental image in your head” you had of them before
Hopefully, we can all have a bit of fun, learn a little about each other. It might also help us stop “talking past each other” because we realise a “fairly normal guy is talking to a fairly normal gal” when we argue, rather than (as now) having the mental image of a giant blue haired fatty on one side and a fat greasy spotty neckbeard on the other and talking way past each other all the time as a result. Have fun.
2018.12.05 23:03 Yuki_of_Winter9 months HRT update + life
I haven't written an update in a while since there wasn't much going on anyways. But today marks exactly 9 months since I started HRT so I decided to jot it down somewhere so one day I can check how far I've come, plus I've been feeling terrible mentally, physically, and emotionally, so I thought writing would distract my mind for a little bit. Anyways, let me tell you a little about my tiny little breasts. They've been growing pretty quickly in the past few weeks (I think they're A cups now) so I'm kind of confident that my end result will be a B cup. Which is amazing... for me. Since I probably won't be getting BA. I'm not going to lie, having breasts kind of takes a little bit of my stress away. I love how soft and smooth my boobies are getting. I'm finally starting to feel like a real woman. The other day I was going through my old pictures( pre-HRT), and noticed how different my face is now. I've been using apps like how-old and PicTriev and I'm getting gendered female 100% of the time. Which makes me super happy, but still feel like a troll, and doesn't necessarily mean I'm passing as a woman. Last weekend while we were dining out, my parents told me that my face was looking extra feminine. This made my day... but again... I still feel like a troll. I've been losing a lot of weight these past few months, which makes me wonder if my estrogen decided to pack a punch just now, or is it only because of the depression I've been having. But looking at the bright side I've lost over 10lbs of muscle since my last update. But I still have about 13 lbs to go-- I used to be a gym rat, and need to get rid of all of these extra muscle. Grrrrr..... Other than that I don't think anything else have happened to me physically, but emotionally I feel like I'm the Niagara Falls. I've always been a sensitive person, but I was always able to hold it in, and keep a straight face. Now any time someone or something hurts my feelings I just get all teary, no fighting back, just face-to-pillow. As for life... I've been diligently studying for web development and UX design for almost a year uninterrupted( I did have past experience), but I've finally finished my studies, and decided to become a UX designer and hopefully later become a fullstack developer. I've started looking for jobs for about 7 days now in California, and only had one interview set up, but the recruiter was a flake, twice! And another one told me I was qualified for the position but I needed to fill out a couple more things, that was two days ago. I still haven't given up. And when I do get a job, I promised myself that I would tell my mom I'm trans. Anyways that's pretty much it, I feel like I hit rock bottom, but I have a feeling that something will change in a couple of days.
Obvious throwaway So it's come to my attention that the way of the future will definitely involve facial recognition software. I tested this out and it's scary, because even though I pass 100% in public, this software clocks me. It's very depressing to be invalidated like this but I understand that with the rise of neural network learning these things can easily pick apart the very pixels that manifest in a masculine face and a feminine face. This worries me because on the website you can see companies that this software has been tailor developed for. Companies that are ALREADY utilizing the software. This is the way of the future everyone and this is EXACTLY why it's so important that we fight as hard and viciously as possible to advance trans rights as much as possible, literally for our safety as we always have. I'm not sure where we go from here with this technology. If you mess around on the website beware, you might not like how the algorithm clocks you. The way I see it, there's no way we can't be a protected class once this goes super mainstream. It's a very real concern that has astronomical potential for abuse. In writing to our senators and representatives I HIGHLY recommend bringing up the privacy concern over this software so that we may in the very least have our dignities preserved. Technology will only get better and with that we NEED more protections to mitigate against how this technology can harm us. If anyone would like to discuss feel free to do so. Edit: Here's another website that uses a very rudimentary version of the same type of technology. Case in point, we need to let as many allies and protectors know about these concerns ASAP. I've searched on this sub and haven't found anything in regards to this concern. Again, please be wary of how you use these websites. I'm still crushed from feeding in every picture and angle just to see how the computer "calculates" my face. If anyone here with knowledge about the inner workings of this stuff would like to chime in, you'd be doing EVERYONE here a HUGE favor. Thank you again everyone, and please, try and stay strong and united. Sometimes it's not worth arguing with eachother over extreme nuance all the time. Our future safety is directly tied to our ability to be united together, with our allies, and ultimately the general public. Edit 2: Also! These websites aren't 100% accurate. It is possible to force a false positive out of these. The point is that it will only get better and better. We have to assume this technology WILL be perfected. I estimate that the technology will be perfected no longer than 10-15 years from now. Edit 3: Part of the solution could be towards pressuring our representatives into including trans men and trans women faces as part of the data set used to calibrate the cisgender sets. IE making sure trans men faces are included in the data for recognizing male faces as well as including trans women faces are included in the data for recognizing female faces. This can only be done if Government forces the most mainstream developer of this technology to do so. Again, we need to let our representatives know about this as well as our allies. Even now nothing is stopping a hate group from feeding our pictures into the software as a way of "identifying" us.
2017.02.20 16:49 tehlolz756What little things do you do to feel validated?
I've been using face recognition sites like how-old.net (which usually genders me female), pictriev.com (which usually genders me male), and less often old.faceplusplus.com/demo-detect/. What little things do you do to feel validated as your gender?
2016.03.15 07:01 acheyshakeyHas anyone here ever gotten revisions on FFS?
Way too soon for me to even think about it, but, just wondering, has anyone here ever gotten revisions on FFS? I feel like more surgery will just make me look like a plastic surgery nightmare. Do you have to go through the entire healing process over again or is it not as intense the second time around? Experiences? Also, two months post surgery pictriev is saying I look like a 14 year old boy. which i guess is a step up from, like, Mark Zuckerberg. Anyone else use pictriev? Have any other sites you like? I really don't think I would care so much about passing if not for the fact that every time I leave my house it's a whole fucking commotion. Like, I wore an army jacket and skinny jeans with my hair in a pony to acupuncture today and I think all the middle-aged women were going to have a meltdown. One woman pulled a kanye and called me, "that person." (She'd never seen me before). thoughts?
So I know it hasn't been that long since I had my surgery, but I already feel really disappointed in the results. Maybe I wasn't assertive enough in telling the doctors what I wanted or maybe the technology simply isn't there, but I feel like they left wayy too much mass beneath my chin and jaw. I know I'm swollen, but you can feel the bone beneath the swelling and it makes me so, so dysphoric how much mass is still there. It really looks like he took nothing off at all. The whole experience was really jarring, actually. The nurses and hospital staff were like hyper-misgendering me. The surgeon's assistants kept snarling at me and at one point one of the doctors even said they didn't understand wanting to be a woman when being a gay man looked so fun. In order to stress how important passing was to me (for the price I paid, I was hoping for pretty girl), I was talking about transphobia and the surgeon and his assistant essentially sat there gaslighting me and telling me that transphobia only happens to people who carry themselves a certain way (timidly, or something). I'm just really frustrated. For anyone who has gotten FFS, do you have anything to say to assuage my worry? I've spoken with the surgeon about my concerns but they're very dismissive. To them, since it's not their life, it's not big deal and they just want to move on. But, to me, the size of my nose not being taken down enough or the size of my jaw/chin not being taken down enough is a big deal because of a) passing, b) general attractiveness (at this point, idgaf if I'm vain. I can't have children, I can't even wear the clothing I want to wear because I just look like a drag queen, I at least wanted a cute face after so many years of battling) and c) I did just pay a huge amount of money so it's like wtf. The surgeon even said at one point, "Well, cisgender women get misgendered all the time! So if that happens to you it doesn't mean anything." Essentially, that's like you paying me to paint your car green and when I return it painted turquoise and you say something, I go, "Well! People confuse green and turquoise all the time so it doesn't mean anything!" It's not like I did anything wrong. I did make sure to ask before the surgery, at the pre-op, and even then about his general feelings about my abilities to pass and he had always said he had high hopes for me so I was very concerned in his change of tone when he made that kind of sketchy statement. I also talked to him about how my nose becomes very pronounced when I lose weight and that's why I wanted to make sure to reduce the size enough and when I showed him a picture of me with less weight he very visibly snarled at the photo. And I was like??? It scared the fuck out of me to have someone who is supposed to be non-biased snarling at my photos prior to cutting into my face. I know it's paranoid, but I feel like everyone has this obsession with controlling transgender people's genders. I feel like he made this executive decision to not feminize me as much as I wanted.... which is really frustrating. Pictriev is very much still clocking me as masculine. how much did your FFS come down afterward? how much smaller was your nose at two weeks than two months? Thoughts?
2014.11.18 14:50 Amelia667Interesting face search engine
I just stumpled upon a face rating website. Sounds excrutiating? Well it definetely can be... It would be fascinating if any of you have tried it during your transition, and seen the numbers skew. Anyway tried it with some of my childhood images, and apparently my face attributes was as follows for: age 12: 20% masculine, 80% feminine, age 15, closest lookalikes Hallie Kate Eisenberg (50%) and Peyton List (25%). age 14: 100% feminine, age 40, closest lookalikes Addison Timlin and Lorelai Gilmore (both 21%). This is greatly skewn by raspberry powder (some candy I smeared on my lips) and a potato-quality camera. age 19 (now): 60/40 feminine/masculine, age 20, closest lookalikes Gil Ofarim and Kelly Kruger... Will follow my progress once I start on HRT, maybe I will get even younger :) Oh, and the website is http://www.pictriev.com/
